Crate Cooking School

CRATE (Kitchenware Store and Cooking School) is the premiere cooking school in Western Pennsylvania. Located in Pittsburgh, we have both demonstration and hands-on kitchens in our cooking school. In twenty-eight years of business, we have had international, national and regional chefs with over 200 cooking classes each year.

Our retail kitchen store carries the latest kitchen equipment, gadgets and accessories that have been tested by our staff. We know our products in our retail store and are delighted when we can solve a problem or help you find the items you need. We believe in customer service.

For those of you who don't know us, we are a cooking school and houseware store located in the South Hills of Pittsburgh, PA.

We are well-known nationally and locally for our cooking school.

We have two separate kitchens. Our DEMONSTRATION KITCHEN has a sixteen-foot mirror suspended over front counters and Viking stove top with 6 burners. Four additional burners are located behind a demonstration counter that is 20 feet long. There is a built-in Viking double oven. We can seat 40 students for demonstration-style classes or 24 for sit-down Dinners and Lunch and Learn classes. We offer private classes for meetings, showers etc.
