Grade School Gourmet
Have your kids long graduated from their Easy Bake ovens? Then Grade School Gourmet is the place for them!
It is here, in the cozy kitchen of Grade School Gourmet, in Rumson NJ, that your child will learn simple, delicious home cooking techniques. Classes will give them the confidence to experiment with their own creations, as well as learn tried and true recipes. Your child will learn practical skills and develop confidence in the kitchen, all while having fun in a caring and relaxed atmosphere.
So whether your child is destined to be the next Emeril Lagasse or only knows how to make peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, you can be sure they will leave Grade School Gourmet with a wealth of information and a love of cooking!
5 Week After-School Session
Each class meets once a week from 3:30-5:30pm for five weeks. Each new session will offer new recipes for those students who continue on. Students will prepare and then sample their food at the end of each class. Each student will receive take-home packages to share with their families. At the end of each session, students will receive a certificate of completion, as well as the recipes and helpful hints they have learned.
Summer Camps
Looking for a fun-filled time for your kids during the summer? Then enroll at one of Grade School Gourmet's “Culinary Camps.” These 4 day mini-camps run from 9:30am–12:30pm . Each camp includes hands-on cooking instruction, snack time and a “food related” craft. This unique program will provide your child with culinary experiences, as well as the opportunity to use his or her creative side!
Holiday Sweets & Treats
A one-day class that meets from 3:30-6:00pm where your child will bake holiday goodies. Each student will receive take-home packages to share with their families. Recipes will be handed out at the end of class.
