LAcademy de Cuisine
Our recreational classes are designed for home cooks and food enthusiasts from beginner to advanced, looking to sharpen their culinary skills in an entertaining and relaxed environment. So, whether you’re a rookie in the kitchen, a seasoned home cook, or looking for a good time out with friends, we offer something for every aspiring cook!
Our cooking classes incorporate recipes created from scratch, using fresh, seasonal ingredients and time-tested culinary techniques. Every class is led by an experienced and enthusiastic instructor who has graduated from a professional culinary program and has at least three years of culinary teaching experience. Each class takes a maximum of 28 students.
We offer cooking classes in two formats:
Demonstration Classes (D) – Attend a demonstration and feel just like you’re in the audience of a live cooking show! Sit back, enjoy a glass of wine, and watch as your instructor cooks for you and demonstrates the techniques of the class menu in our intimate demonstration kitchens. Students receive recipes upon arrival, so you may follow along, ask questions, and get the most out of your time spent with us. The instructor will prepare each of the items for you to taste and critique.
Participation Classes (P) – Roll up your sleeves, tie on an apron and get cooking in this fun, hands-on approach to learning. Each class begins with a demonstration by your instructor. Then the class is divided into groups to prepare the menu. An instructor is always close by to answer questions and offer assistance. At the end of the class, students sit down to enjoy the food they prepared, along with a glass of wine and a sense of culinary satisfaction!
