The Kitchen Door offers one-day courses covering a variety of topics for the enthusiastic home cook, with guest chefs and local celebrities as instructors. You will work side by side with the chefs in these limited-size classes, learning by doing.
Treat yourself or a friend and come join us for these memorable and inspiring classes at The Kitchen Door, located on beautiful Whidbey Island, Washington, just an hour and a relaxing ferry ride from downtown Seattle.

The goal of The Kitchen Door is to teach the skills necessary for you to become comfortable and competent in the kitchen. We teach everything from everyday cooking to extravagant entertaining, while maintaining a relaxed learning environment and a lively interchange of ideas. Plan-ahead menus and healthy options will be featured, with ease of preparation a key component to everything taught in class.
The Kitchen Door cooking school is hosted in many fine private kitchens throughout the community of South Whidbey Island. Complete directions are included when you sign up for a class. Join us for one or more of the outstanding classes offered in these spectacular settings.
