The Pollard Inn

The Pollard complex encompasses a 21 room bed and breakfast inn including the Freeman Building, in a National Registered Historic District. The National Trust for Historic Preservation named Guthrie as being one of the Dozen Distinctive Destinations for 2004.

The Pollard Inn has been meticulously restored to its turn-of-the-century charm. From the dark satin woodwork to the shimmering brass fixtures, it has been rehabilitated with loving care.

Owned by the Arts and Humanities Council of Guthrie, the Pollard Inn's restoration is an ongoing project in the Eager-Hirzel Building which was built in 1902. It originally housed Guthrie Savings Bank, and the structure now operates as a 21 room inn.

The Freeman Building facing Oklahoma Avenue on the north, contains several upper floor guest rooms. It was home to the W.N. Wallace Pharmacy until the 1950's. The small Silvers's Building, directly behind and attacted to the Eager-Hirzel Building, was home to a clothing store. It was constructed in the early 1900's.
