We remember all the hens and hands which urged the egg to our market basket, the stools we sat on, eager to learn what to do with it, the delicious friends who trundle the stairs to join us sleepy-faced for the morning-after omelets.
Come from behind that door to where the stove is hot, the stories warm, and the folks way-cool. Grab a knife! Almost everything we are about to tell you is true.

You can also Tuck your favorite chef's knife and apron in an overnight bag and leave city cares behind on your canyon drive between Boulder and Estes Park. Destination? A relaxed, warm kitchen. In a forest. On a creek. Deer, squirrel, and nuthatch will be very curious about what you are up to. Discover new culinary techniques with your experienced guide. She has cooked with and for all manner of folk, from presidential chef to glacier camps.
Enjoy the fruits (and vegetables) of your labor over candlelight and wine in a festive, private setting. Then the difficult decision comes. Should you soak in the starlit hot tub on the sandstone terrace or read by the fire in your private lounge? Trundle to bed and bath, knowing that a full Colorado breakfast will be waiting in the morning.
