Calling all adults who live and play with preschoolers! We encourage you to head on over to our kitchen where we don't mind a bit of culinary mess mixed in with healthy, food art fun! Gather your neighborhood playgroup, nursery school class, or friends with preschoolers/pre-K ages 3-5 yrs old and head on down to our culinary theater for a one hour cooking or baking sensory experience with your child! Children will use picture card versions of recipes, and with you as their helpers, will create scrumptious snacks to share! | Hands On Skills: Basic Knife Handling | | |  | | Time for you to brush-up on basic skills in the kitchen? Go back to class with our Guest Chef who is a master of encouragement, creativity and instruction!
This Hands-On class is a confidence builder as you learn to hone your knife skills. Working directly with the chef, you will learn techniques for holding, sharpening and using a standard chef’s knife.
Also, you will practice classic cuts like julienne, dice and brunoise. Having chopped your way to success, you will prepare dishes from the ingredients you have prepared. No doubt about it, you will be sent home a happy chopper! Bring your favorite culinary knife to class (required). Time: 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm Culinary Assistants (1)

For a safe and healthy culinary experience for your child, we request the following:
- You must sign-in and sign-out your child for class. In other words, children may not be dropped off or released from class without a parent/guardian present.
- Your child will be on his or her feet during most of the class, so we suggest that comfortable, closed-toe shoes be worn.
- Exceptionally loose clothing should not be worn.
- Secure your child’s long hair in a pony tail holder or hair band for proper hygiene around food preparation.
- Jewelry, especially rings, should not be worn in class.
- Cell phone use during the camp time will be discouraged; your support of this will be sincerely appreciated.
