You will learn to make the basic dough and use a pasta machine to work and shape it.

The Afternoon Teas at Rolling Pin have continued with overwhelming popularity, so Chef Shari has agreed to host two themed Afternoon Teas each month.  

Mark your calendars for AFTERNOON TEA at the Rolling Pin on the FIRST WEDNESDAY and the THIRD TUESDAY.  The Afternoon Teas sell out quickly, so book early!  Seating will be strictly limited to 18.

Evening at the Chef's Table is a relaxed event that allows you a front row seat in the kitchen. Chef Dave will prepare gourmet dishes before your eyes. Ask questions, watch, learn, and make new friends while he prepares foods that will excite your palate.

A "Flight" of Premium Wines is available for $25 per person. These premium wines, especially paired for each course, must be chosen during class registration.

The Afternoon Teas at Rolling Pin have continued with overwhelming popularity, so Chef Shari has agreed to host two themed Afternoon Teas each month.  

Mark your calendars for AFTERNOON TEA at the Rolling Pin on the FIRST WEDNESDAY and the THIRD TUESDAY.  The Afternoon Teas sell out quickly, so book early!  Seating will be strictly limited to 18.

This is a series of Daytime Cooking Class with Chef Shari designed for those who want to get out during the day and learn a bit while enjoying a great lunch.

Basic Training

Basic Training: learn how to prepare your cake beginning from out of the oven to table center piece.

Skills learned: leveling, torte, damming and filling the cake. Prepare the cake board; make icing, filling pastry bags, crumb coat and icing the cake. Learn how to copies designs using piping gel with tip #1, divide a cake, letter/writing with tip #3, trimming, and edging using tips #18, #21 and #104.

You will leave with a beautifully decorated cake!

Basket Weaving and Roses

Create beautiful cakes with a basket weave design with tip #47.

Then make a bouquet of roses and leaves using tips 12, 104, and 352. Top it off with a rope border using tip #21.

Knowledge of cake preparation and icing is helpful, but not required.

Weaving and Rose making will take most of the class, so come early if you need a review of cake preparation and icing.

You will leave with a beautiful hand-decorated cake!

Cake Decorating - Royal Icing


This class is all about Royal Icing Beautiful Flowers. You will learn to make daises, primroses, apple blossoms, daffodils, pansies and roses.

You will leave with these flowers WET as they require a drying time of up to 48 hours. Because they harden like candy, they can be saved in air-tight containers for months to be placed on your cake at a later date. Great for those "last minute" cakes.

You may enroll in the cake decorating series in any sequence.

This is a HANDS-ON Style class.
