The tradition returns to The Stocked Pot with our beloved Chef Don recreating a time honored and generation sharing holiday experience, the annual Gingerbread House construction classes. Sign up early for these classes for once the word get out they will be sold out. Chef Don teaches the preparation, icing, and decorating of each individual Gingerbread House. Class size is limited so individual attention can be given to each student as they create their own culinary masterpieces. Chef Don has taught over 1,500 students the art of making their own Gingerbread House. Every student takes home their own Gingerbread House. Like the Nutcracker, Holiday Traditions abound in the Triad. Each participant must register and pay for their individual gingerbread house.

 Many people inquire how they may obtain a cooking school basic training,
 but do not have the time to sign up at a culinary college.
 Our series will prepare you for a lifetime of creative experiences in the kitchen,
 and just maybe a entree to a culinary career. Our class will explain all the knives found in most kitchens,
 how to select and care for them. We will also cover the wide variety of cooking utensils,
 what they are used for and how to properly use them. Food safety is all important and this knowledge
 will be shared to get you started in the right direction. Many knife techniques will be covered including

  • Every participant will create up to 2 gourmet pizzas, calzones and or Stromboli’s
  • Every participant will take home one dough ball to recreate their pizza making skills at home
  • Water and Iced Tea served during the class and Wine served while you are eating your pizza.
  • Gourmet Sodas, Beer, Wines and Champagne available for purchase before and during class.
  • A tossed salad with homemade Citrus Vinaigrette Dressing will be created in class to accompany your homemade pizzas
