How-To: Decorating A Cake in the "Fault Line" Style
 

In this two-day hands-on cake decorating class, practice slicing, filling, icing, and decorating a six-inch cake using simple and modern techniques! Let pastry chef Rush help you to create your own version of a fault-line cake; the decorating possibilities are endless, and no two cakes will end up the same!

Please be prepared to take your cake home with you on Saturday (cake box and cake board included)! 

Day One: October 4th, 12pm-3pm
Make Meringue Buttercream from scratch
Learn how to cut even cake layers using a knife
Learn how to create level layers of icing
Learn how to store an iced cake for finishing the next day
Create a drawing or "blueprint" to follow for your cake's design

Day Two: October 5th, 10am-1pm
Learn how to use cake combs to create sophisticated, modern designs
Learn how to create a fool-proof drip decoration
See different techniques in "painting" icing
Learn how to decorate a fault-line cake fit for any occasion!

In this class, you will learn to utilize saffron, rosewater, cardamom, mint and more to create delicious rice, delectable lentils, mouth watering kabobs and colorful vegetables. By the end of class, you will be able to make a Persian feast for your friends and family!

Shirazi Salad (delicious Persian salad made with fresh veggies in olive oil sauce)

Addasi (healthy Persian lentil stew)
