Nothing says comfort like a Southern biscuit. DIERBERGS CULINARY ACADEMY
(Grades 9th through 12th)

Dierbergs School of Cooking is using their 40 years of experience in teaching culinary classes to create a new program specifically designed to develop cooking skills for the next generation.

The Dierbergs Cooking Academy (DCA) offers hands-on classes where students gain fundamental skills to last a lifetime. It’s never too early to start thinking about life out in the world. A great way to begin is by joining us in the kitchen! Even if you’ve never made a full meal by yourself (no, frozen pizza doesn’t count), you’ll be feeling like a master chef in no time.

In addition to our Dierbergs Culinary Professionals, we are collaborating with area chefs, nutritionists, and culinary educators to provide a well-rounded curriculum that includes the use of basic cooking equipment, reading recipes, knife skills, full range of cooking and baking techniques, etiquette, food handling and safety, nutrition, and more.

The Basics is the required first class in the DCA Program. Throughout the year, each brochure will offer exciting new classes covering a variety of topics plus The Basics class. You may choose the classes that fit your interests best. Upon completing The Basics, you will receive a punch card. Once all classes are complete, you will receive a special gift from Dierbergs.
