Do you have a spice blend in your cabinet that you picked up on vacation, but you're not sure how to use? If you're one of those people, or a cook who would like to incorporate spice blends into your culinary repertoire, then come in for this class. We'll travel around the globe as you learn to create spice blends like: Indian Masala; Latin Adobo; Jamaican Jerk Seasoning; Herbes de Provence; and savory rubs for good BBQ.You will then use these aromatic spice blends to prepare:

  • Cauliflower Chickpea Curry
  • Grilled Beef with a Savory Coffee Dry Rub

What to expect at Cooking Classes:

  • You must be 16 years of age or older to attend this class.
  • You will work in small groups of 3-4 people to produce the classes’ entire menu; not just 1 or 2 courses of the meal.
  • Once cooking is complete, you will sit down (with your instructor) to enjoy the fruits of your labor. All food made in the cooking class will be consumed during the class. 
  • Menu may slightly change to accommodate seasonal produce and ingredient availability.
  • Classes are 3 hours in length unless otherwise indicated.
  • Classes are BYOB.

Join us for a truly magical participation class! Everyone will build and decorate a gingerbread house with our wide assortment of candies and decorations and will take home their creation. This special treasure will be cherished and enjoyed all through the holiday season.

Sushi-The Art of Making Maki (Rolls)

Today you'll learn not only how to make and season that all important  rice, but also how to make those lovely, delicious rolls that wrap the rice and nori (roasted seaweed sheets) around an assortment of different fillings and garnishes to include sashimi grade tuna and salmon, shrimp, crab, smoked salmon, avocado, carrots, cucumber, flying fish roe, sesame seeds, rice crackers, different sauces ~ and more!

You'll leave with a brand new skill that allows you to make Sushi at home whenever you want, plus during class consume Sushi to your heart's content!

You receive a Sushi Kit with everything you need to make sushi at home - A bamboo sushi rolling mat, reusable chopsticks, sushi rice, sushi recipes, nori sheets, wasabi &  sushi vinegar.
