We’ll cover proper knife skills and safety, as well as foundation basics like how to dice onions and shallots, chop herbs, roast peppers, peel and seed tomatoes, pit olives, supreme citrus fruit, plus some tricks for kiwi and avocado  and more!

How to Think Like a Chef: Knife Skills
 

This is the first class in our 6-class HOW TO THINK LIKE A CHEF series.  It is the all important, fundamental Knife Skills class, which lays the groundwork for the proper holding and use of a Chef's or Santoku knife.

We’ll cover proper knife skills and safety, as well as foundation basics like how to dice onions and shallots, chop herbs, roast peppers, peel and seed tomatoes, pit olives, supreme citrus fruit, plus some tricks for kiwi and avocado  and more!

You receive a Sushi Kit with everything you need to make sushi at home - A bamboo sushi rolling mat, reusable chopsticks, sushi rice, sushi recipes, nori sheets, wasabi &  sushi vinegar.

On this, our final evening together, we will be making a "Cream of Anything" soup - we'll choose the vegetable in advance and make a killer cream (or not!) soup out of it.

We will also review everything we've learned about sauteing and reduction sauces in a delicious way.

Sorry, this class can only be taken as part of the HOW TO THINK LIKE A CHEF series.
