Any class which teaches me how to be effective and independent in the kitchen. I want to understand techniques and the why of things: like when to use a lid and when not to; what pans can go in the oven, etc etc

I found the class informative. The Chef was very accomplished and established a good rapport with the class. I was very pleased with the experience.

How could we improve your experience?
I missed a couple of the cutting technique demonstrations (lemon, olive pitting, peppers) once we had started chopping already due to loud conversations near by. Perhaps if more of an effort to gather everyone's attention was made, there would be less confusion for other classes.

I would absolutely sign up for a stand-alone sauce-making course. As it is, I live in PA, and taking a class series isn't in the cards because of how late I ended up getting home last night. If there were some courses during the daytime on a Saturday, I would be more inclined to sign up for a series.
