Yes. And have done so already. I really enjoyed it. Jeremy is a nice guy, great disposition, and has lots of helpful knowledge. i learned a lot and it was extremely helpful to me. I think a lot of people would enjoy/benefit from a cooking series like this, so many things we don't know!
|
Additional comments and observations
My family gave this to me as a surprise gift so I left the questions about registering and finding class information blank. Ok now i see it's not letting me leave the survey because of the blank questions so i'll put my marks in the middle but those marks mean nothing. sorry. don't like the survey not letting me leave those blank!

Additional comments and observations
The instructor was: Adam and Wes were both very fun and enthusiastic. The atmosphere was: Everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves, especially for a first meeting of the class. Complexity of the recipes: I seemed to be on the upper end of experience for the beginner series, so the recipes did not seem as complex as they might have to another less-experienced home cook. The food was: Succulent. Good word! Actually, the soup was some of the yummiest I've had & I'm a pretty good soup maker. The skills you learned were: I knew much of the info, but I expected to be in that position. I took the class to round out my knowledge and that is definitely happening already. I enjoyed myself and had fun: This is the first cooking class I've ever had and I enjoyed it very much.

The food was: Made the food 2 times on my own during the week I loved it so much. The skills you learned were: I had taken a knife skills class before, but I learned a lot of tricks to refine my technique as well as other non-knife skills things, like how to know when aromatics are done cooking or when to add fresh vs. dried herbs to a recipe, etc. I enjoyed myself and had fun: Met a lot of new, friendly people.

Additional comments and observations
The instructor was: Chef Louisa is extremely knowledgeable and very easy to talk to, after the class even though it was running late and after she took the time to teach me and another student who wanted to learn how to do the knife honing and sharpening wet stone, it is nice things like this that made me sign up for the intermediate class offered next month!! The atmosphere was: excellent apmosphere !! everyone was super nice and talked to me Complexity of the recipes: I know for myself who is interested in learning everything there is to know about being a chef, but is at the bottom step looking up, the recipes were challenging but fun as well. The food was: I thought the recipes for the first class were awsome, especially the apple crisp !! I have never made anything like that before, I cannot wait to see what next week brings The skills you learned were: As I said above I am taking it apon myself to do a self study course on being a chef, studying books and recipes ect.. (cannot afford cooking school) and everything that I learned in the first class was so very awsome. you cannot expect to make excellent dishes until the fundimentals are mastered first. I learned a lot of valueable info, and I really appreciate the take home info and papers that were given about knife selection and use. I enjoyed myself and had fun: For me cooking is more than a hobby or a thing to do, it is everything to me. My whole life now revolves around food, and being a great chef. And I know with classes like this I am on my way.
