Additional comments and observations
Andre asked for cookie ideas for next year. The selection of cookies is very brown -- perhaps a piped cookie with sugar or colored sprinkles.

Additional comments and observations

The instructor was: Both Wes and Louisa were terrific: patient and cheerful and probably very glad they are done with cookies for this year.

Complexity of the recipes: At least the two that we made were easy. I don't know how the other people fared, but most of the recipes looked easy enough. Kudos to the cornflake wreath people, and to the dedicated gingerbread and sugar cookie decorators.

The food was: I have not tasted all of the cookies, but the ones I have eaten were quite good.

The skills you learned were: Learned some extra information.

Additional comments and observations

The instructor was: Louisa and Wes were great instructors. They were clear, concise and helpful. They were supportive and encouraging. They might have told the class the difference in flours, at least cake/pastry & all purpose, and sugars, white, brown, powdered and sanding.

The atmosphere was: It was fun. All participants were nice and complimented each other when ever possible.

Complexity of the recipes: I feel it could have been a bit easier. It would have been good to have the recipes correct for the amount/multiples. We had the lemon cookies and it said one lemon, but since it was one and 1/2 recipe, it should have been 1 and 1/2 lemon. I think you should have the recipe true to what you are asking the person to do. If you want 1 and 1/2, put that measurement in paranthesis.

The food was: The cookies would have looked nicer if you taught portioning. It is so easy to use a scoop for cookies and they would have been uniform.

The skills you learned were: I am an avid baker and took my niece. She learned a lot and it was fun watching her.
