The instructor was: Michael was fantastic - very informative about baking & on food culture in Portland!

The atmosphere was: He was able to create a relaxed atmosphere - everyone got involved & had a lot of fun.

Complexity of the recipes: Under our chef's instruction, the recipe was made more simple but good skills required.

The food was: The bialy inclusion was a bonus too.

The instructor was: Judge Zusman was very informative, as well as entertaining.

The atmosphere was: Upbeat attitude and obvious passion for baking.

Complexity of the recipes: Who knew bagels were so easy? And even the more unusual ingredients are not difficult to get.

The food was: Terrific! Now I need not be ashamed when my East Coast friends come to visit and complain about the bagels.

The skills you learned were: The information given could easily be expanded upon for many bread recipes, and certainly he encouraged us to experiment. Also, interesting local restaurant information, and good leads on baking cookbooks.

I enjoyed myself and had fun: And a good time was had by all! Not only was Michael's teaching style fun, but I met several nice people.
