ESMP = Emfluence (emfluence) – We use this third party service (email/social marketing platform) to send email communication to people who have opted in to the mailing list via in-person registration on our website, at CCKC events, in our classes and events, via our social media or through the use of our class reservation system.
CLASS = Rezclick (Rezclick calendar) is a third party service provider/platform, used to register students online for our cooking classes, process gift certificate purchases, and accept payment for those services.
Please note: The above may be referred to in the aggregate as “partners”, “affiliates”, “platforms”, “third party platforms”, “service providers”, or “third party service providers”.
IP = Internet Protocol - the method or protocol by which data is sent from one computer to another on the Internet. Each computer (known as a host) on the Internet has at least one IP address that uniquely identifies it from all other computers on the Internet.

CCKC’s purpose in collecting non-personally identifying information is to better understand how CCKC’s visitors use its website. Certain visitors to CCKC’s website choose to interact with The Culinary Center of Kansas City in ways that require us to gather personally-identifying information. CCKC may collect statistics about the behavior of visitors to its websites. For instance, CCKC may monitor visits to our site(s) or user behavior. CCKC may display this aggregate information publicly or provide it to others. However, CCKC does not disclose personally-identifying information other than as described below.

If you send us a request (for example via a support email, we reserve the right to publish it in order to help us clarify or respond to your request or help us support other users. We take precautions to protect your information. When you submit sensitive information via the website, your information is protected both online and offline.
Wherever we collect sensitive information (such as credit card data), that information is encrypted and transmitted to us in a secure way. You can verify this by looking for a closed lock icon at the bottom of your web browser, or looking for "https" at the beginning of the address of the web page.
Your payment and personal information is always safe. Our Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) software is the industry standard and among the best software available today for secure commerce transactions. It encrypts all of your personal information, including credit card number, name and address, so that it cannot be read over the internet.
While we use encryption to protect sensitive information transmitted online, we also protect your information offline. Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job (for example, billing or customer service) are granted access to personally identifiable information. The computers/servers in which we store personally identifiable information are kept in a secure environment.
We will gladly refund your full class registration fee or transfer you to another class as long as your request is made more than 5 calendar days prior to the class date (10 days for groups of 6 or more who signed up together).
Refunds for retail purchases will be made with receipt of purchase within 30 days of purchase date, except on sale items noted as 'All Sales Final'. Returns with no receipt can be made with 30 days of purchase date for store credit, except on sale items noted as 'All Sales Final'.
All refunds will be provided as credit to the credit card used at the time of purchase within five (5) business days upon return of the merchandise or valid cancellation of the class registration. Cash purchases will be refunded in cash or account credit which can be used for class registration or Kitchen Shop retail purchases at The Culinary Center of Kansas City.
For instance, when we use a cookie to identify you, you would not have to log in a password more than once, thereby saving time while on our site. Cookies can also enable us to track and target the interests of our users to enhance the experience on our site. Usage of a cookie is in no way linked to any personally identifiable information on our site.
