EATING MEXICO--Dia De Los Muertos One Plate at a Time
 

If you love the animated movie Coco, let's start the celebration of Dia De Los Muertos--Mexican remembrance of the departed. We'll make hand made tortillas from fresh masa. Traditional Oaxacan molé with turkey simmered in a rich sauce of toasted dried chiles, ground spices, and bit of chocolate! Then we'll wrap it up into 'enmoladas"--mole enchiladas, topped with a sprinkle of cotija cheese. We'll pickle our own bright purple onions to serve on top.  A delicious garlic and cilantro rice to soak up the sauce. Squash blossoms stuffed with cheese battered and fried served over greens with a cactus fruit vinaigrette. And of course churros for dessert. Muy Delicioso

Class runs about 2 1/2 hours. Adult Class you may bring wine or beer to enjoy with your meal. 

COVID19: We have cut down our class sizes and are requiring all students/attendees wear FACE MASKS during class. Maybe you'd like to wear a Halloween mask!

EASY YEAST BREADS, ROLLS & MORE --Close your laptops and open your ovens!
 

Close your laptops and open your ovens! In this class we'll roll up our sleeves and learn a combination of traditional and new baking techniques for yeast leavened breads easily made at home--without a bread machine! Learn a versatile basic rich yeast dough which can be molded into various loaves and rolls--white/oat/wheat, sweet breads like pecan sticikes, babkas, or sweet braids. We'll also be making an Italian focaccia with herbs, olives, and sun-dried tomatoes. We'll taste the labors of our work. Yum!

Adult and teens 13 and up ok  Class runs about 3 1/2  hours long.
