PASTRY 2: 10-week Advanced Baking Series
 

This 10-week online series is designed for the beginner or intermediate culinary student or baking enthusiast looking to improve on the basics of baking and pastry. These four-hour classes are taught via Zoom where you will be working in your own kitchen under the guidance of our head Pastry Chef Clemence Gossett. 


Our classes are crafted to teach the basic chemistry of baking as well as techniques you’ll use both at home and in a professional kitchen. As with all our classes, everything you learn will be made from scratch, from the graham crust on your cheesecakes to the candied lemon zest on your lemon bars. We encourage you to bring a food-safe container to class to bring home your delicious work. Certificates of completion will be awarded at the end of the series.

 

ONLINE CLASS MEETS FROM 9.30AM-12.30PM

Originally planned for April 2020, we have rescheduled Megan and Maya to join us via zoom.

 

You really don’t want to miss this night. Megan Hile is a chocolatier from Madison Chocolate known for using local ingredients in her delicious bonbons. Maya Schoop-Rutten owns Chocolate Maya, an award winning shop in Santa Barbara. These sister shops are among the finest in the country. Expect an evening of incredible chocolate tasting and hilarious stories!
