The lobster & shrimp cake was to die for. The arugula with lemon vinegrette on top of the cake was fantastic. I love veal and the scallopini with the accompanying flan and veggies was super. Another great night and meal with Jean Pierre!

Complexity of the information provided: For my level of experience the complexity was no problem. Less experienced cooks may find the beef recipe challenging. Chef JP does a great job of encouraging students to try new things in an effort to gain experience.

The Food (or Wine for a Wine) Class: All three recipes were exteremely tasty.

The Skills that you learn were: I found the trimming of the tenderloin especially helpful. I find that I learn something new with each class I attend.

We really enjoyed the humor of Chef Jean Pierre and his assistant and the presentation of the food was superb. We will be back. What a great evening! Thank you so much! P.S. Bob can't wait to use the mandoline he purchased.

I went to the class the night before also...and I do have to say that the Bastille Day Celebration was much more fun! Chef did appear a bit more relaxed and like he was having more fun too! I liked that there was a touch of audience participation with the crepe making.

This was so much fun!!! Thank you for a wonderful experience!! Now I wish I could just afford a few of the amazing kitchen tools on my grad school budget! :)

you could have more hands-on student participation to master certain cooking techniques from the master himself. eg. whipping/folding/ribbon stage etc.

The Instructor (Chef) was?: Besides entertaining chef JP was very informative and eager to please and satisfy the class to the extent of adding additional ingredients in a planned recipe for the class. Eg. Since most of the class liked Blue cheese he added it to a sauce he was preparing as a variation to the printed recipe.

The atmosphere was: This was my first class and I was a bit apprehensive, but soon I felt very comfortable as Chef JP broke the ice and made us laugh at his jokes.

Complexity of the information provided: Printed recipe sheets are provided so one can follow the cooking demonstration step by step. Very simple !

The Food (or Wine for a Wine) Class: The port wine sauce with blue cheese was one of the best I've ever tasted.

The Skills that you learn were: Information about foods, depending on which country they came from was very informative and educative. Eg. goat cheese from France and rack of lamb from New Zealand taste stronger / gamier.

What a greeting when you walked in last night and smelled the wonderful fish broth cooking and what a terrific class and menu that was selected for Bastille Day. I usually am headed in a fast pace the following day and don't answer the reviews for the class. I decided that I would answer them this time. Anyway, I had a wonderful time last night. It's entertaining watching Chef and Bradley juggle such a complex menu that we had, and even get through the misstep of the evening. And I always thought there was a plan "B" for everything since over the years that we've been coming Chef always had an alternative for everything.The organization of the sous chef certainly shows during class. Still, the souffle was delicious, the lamb, always my favorite, superb with the sauce. And the CHOCOLATE no matter how its prepared is always the best.

Make the temperature a little cooler. All the ovens were on and it was a little warm.

The Instructor (Chef) was?: He really pushes himself to make many different and difficult dishes in just 2.5 hours and for 20 or so people, and has fun doing it! Unbelievable!

The atmosphere was: People love this concept-It is like having a table in the kitchen of a fine restaurant.

Complexity of the information provided: These are real recipes so, one must practice them at home in order to get them right, or at least close.

The Food (or Wine for a Wine) Class: Jean Pierre's food has a classical taste to it. There is a balance of the flavors so that it is hard to distinguish a specific ingredient. On each bite you will find another clue-even after seeing him add the ingredients. It is never overwhelming or too bold or to obvious.

The Skills that you learn were: Again, this is the classical method of cooking. It is more an education than a recipe demonstration. You learn the interaction of food ingredients. You learn about sugar contents in foods, fats and how to combine them with other foods so they balance. Garlic and onions are much more that something you throw into a pan at any point- they require timing and care when added in order for the full flavor to be expressed in the final product.

The Instructor (Chef) was?: I have always enjoyed any cooking class I have taken with Jean Pierre...he has so much charisma.

Complexity of the information provided: Although it was multi-staged in its construction... it was explained in a very organized fashion.

The Food (or Wine for a Wine) Class: I cannot imagine eating this way on a regular basis, but what a treat!

The Skills that you learn were: The information that was shared with regard to purchasing and cleaning the beef was cost saving and informative.

Would you come back: I brought my daughter, who was home from college. She may never make any of the recipes, but at least she was adventurous enough to try Escargot.

It has been ten years or so since my wife and I have attended Jean Pierre's classes. We had such a great time and he has not lost his fun way of imparting information. He can teach without lecturing. We will be back.
