Since this was my first time, I was expecting a class in which I did the cooking along with the chef.When I looked at your website, it was not apparent that these are demonstrations, so I came ready to cook. I think you can make it a little more clearer about what will happen in the "class". But I thoroughly enjoyed the experience and learned alot. I immediately set out to make the snapper recipe for my family a few days later and am so glad I recieved this gift!

This was my first cooking class ever - I am extremely impressed with the chef's excellent teaching style, as well as the quality of the preparations. I will definitely recommend Jean Pierre Cooking School to my friends.

Your classes are always fun and I enjoy the "extra" little tips you throw in there. If I were to change anything, it would only be the chatty groups in the audience that should catch up with each other before coming to the class! Some of us really do want to hear what's going on. The Instructor (Chef) was?: Great personality!!! Answered all questions and went out of his way to demonstrate certain techniques that were helpful, like how to chop pototoes in perfect squares of all sizes. The atmosphere was: Cheerful and fun!!! everyone was having a good time. My husband and I came with another couple, which I had gotten gift certificates for their birthdays, and we all said we will come back again soon---possibly for one of the Thanksgiving classes! Complexity of the information provided: It seems easy when Jean Pierre demonstrates---I'll see how I do on my own in my kitchen!! The Food (or Wine for a Wine) Class: The fish was great--my favorite being the pesto lemon snapper. I also loved the orzo pasta. In fact, I really loved all the recipes. The Skills that you learn were: I even purchased quite a few items after the class to enhance my skills in the kitchen--the peeler, the slotted spatula, the microplane zester, and the flexable rubber cube tray for freezing garlic paste and the like. Would you come back: This was our first experience with the cooking school and we are looking forward to returning again. Great gifts for friends and relatives---that's how we were introduced to the school!!! My son had sent me a gift certificate (lives in NY) for Mothers Day.

The Skills that you learn were: I never thought about the fact that you can use leftover marinade, boil it, and use it as a glaze! Most useful, less wasteful. I was so excited about taking a class. I had no idea truly what would be happening. I mean yeah...cooking, but he made it so much fun and interesting. The food was like from a 4-star restaurant. I highly reccommend this class and all his classes to anyone. Thanks for a great evening. Great for first dates too!!!

Don't you ever sleep? I think the an important part of the class was to show that fish can and should be cooked quickly. No matter how awesome the sauces are, you can't cover up overcooked fish.

I wasn't sure what to expect at this class and was very pleasantly surprised. Chef Jean Pierre is incredibly comical which made the class all the more enjoyable. His recipes were creative, tasty and relatively uncomplicated and he offered up some excellent cooking tips, recommendations and general culinary suggestions and advice. I will surely try my new recipes at home and I am looking forward to my next cooking experience with Chef Jean Pierre. Thank you so much for such an entertaining , educational and enjoyable evening.

The Skills that you learn were: I have taken other cooking classes but you can always learn more and I did pick up some new tips from Chef Jean Pierre Would you come back: It's a shame that not everyone in the class enjoyed it as much as I did. Cooking should be fun but i guess some people just take it too seriously!!! I'm glad Chef Jean Pierre doesn't take it so seriously - he obviously loves his kitchen!!

The only down side of the class is that the ventilation is not so great, so whenever there is frying or oil, when we leave, we smell like we've been in a restaaurant kitchen...it's in our hair, on our clothes, etc. But the classes are the best in the area! Thanks so much! Deborah

The atmosphere was: you know it is bright and light when the time just flies... Complexity of the information provided: i learned that withthe right ingredients and some of the tips to make the process easy, even a non-cook like myself can make a classy dinner...the recipes were easy to follow and the added info about subsitutes was nice to know... ie. dinnerent types of fish that couuld be used in each dish in exchange for the one that was there... The Food (or Wine for a Wine) Class: particularly the snapper that was crisp on the outside and moist inside! This was my first cooking class and I know it will not be my last. I love creating new tastes in my own kitchen but do not really have the skills I would like. This class was so informative while being fun that I plan to attend more. I have only one suggestion for anyone who has never been to a cooking class - don't eat anything before you go - you will want to savor every bite of the Chef's chosen dishes. Thank you for sharing with us - you have reinforced something that I have known for a long time. Cooking is so much fun! Do it, take a class and share. See you next week.

The Instructor (Chef) was?: The time just flew by and before we knew it the class was over. The Chef not only gave good suggestions on how to prepare parts of the recipes but also shared where he purchased ingredients and what brands he uses. Can't wait to start using some of his suggestions. Also can't wait for next week's class! The atmosphere was: It was like being in the Chef's own private kitchen with everyone asking questions, laughing and sharing - what fun! Complexity of the information provided: I was surprised to find that the most complex looking dishes are really not so difficult if broken down. I plan to try all of these recipes at home. The Food (or Wine for a Wine) Class: The fish just "melted" in your mouth and the flavors were fantastic. I would only make one change and that is lowering the sodium. I would use low sodium broth and low sodium soy sauce but that is just my preference. The food was what you would expect in an upscale restaurant. Presentation was very nice and I could see how the dishes become even more appealing with proper plating methods. The Skills that you learn were: Not only did we learn some tricks for making a fantastic sauce but I finally learned how to do the perfect "chop" something I thought was difficult and found out was really very simple. Would you come back: What a great way to spend an evening. I was sorry when it ended.

The show was great and I really learned a lot. I thought the chef was not only an amazing cook, but as well as an outstanding entertainer. In the near future, I deffinately plan on coming back for another show.

The Instructor (Chef) was?: He really had a great way of teaching the audience new and interesting things while still keeping the show very entertaining. The atmosphere was: I liked the small atmosphere with the kichen counter right in front. It made me feel very at home and cheerful. Complexity of the information provided: All of the food was outstanding and the great part of it was that all of the food was very simple to make. With a little preperation, I could see myself making any of those dishes anyday of my busy week schedule. The Food (or Wine for a Wine) Class: The food was OUTSTANDING! Everything was very tasty and I really didn't have a bad comment to place on the food. The Skills that you learn were: I learned some useful skills and tips at the show but more than that, I learned some very useful information about where to find certain ingredients and tips to making some of the dishes as good as they can be. Would you come back: I thought the show was fantastic and I had a great time. I would do it again in a heartbeat.

My only comment is that we didn\'t know that you were supposed to bring your own drinks. If that was mentioned on the website or in my confirmation emails, I just missed it. Otherwise, I would suggest mentioning this in the confirmation emails or adding some more FAQ\'s.

Complexity of the information provided: The ease of preparation was great! The Food (or Wine for a Wine) Class: Your recipes are usually more tasty. The orzo and sweet potato hash were flavorful but the fish needed a little more zest (for me). The Skills that you learn were: I use most of the techniques used. Would you come back: Love your wit and humor.
