You need to have some hors d'oeuvres for those who haven't eaten anything since lunch and won't until you've finished performing your majic over the stove. Even some salsa and chips would be nice.

After writing this review, I will sign up for two more classes. I guess that I had better go back on my diet to prepare for the results of the classes.
|
Additional comments and observations
The Instructor (Chef) was?: It is always a pleasure to be in Jean-Pierre's classes. His sense of humor is always good and brings life to the class. I always learn little tips from him about cooking that I would never pick up anywhere else. The Food (or Wine for a Wine) Class: These dishes were some of the best that I have had in these classes. The potatoes au gratin, the lamb, the sweet potato puff were absolutely superb!!!! This is one of the best classes I have attended for the quality of food that was prepared.

Additional comments and observations
The Instructor (Chef) was?: Jean Pierre is always entertaining, but he has more fun when he's sipping a little good wine. The trick is to have one glass only; I've never been able to do that but you might :-) The atmosphere was: Sometimes too noisy, but always cheerful Complexity of the information provided: I probably won't clean a leg of lamb, but I can't wait to try the pork tenderloin. The Food (or Wine for a Wine) Class: All three meats were delicious and beautifully presented. The Skills that you learn were: I will now try brining and watching you butterfly a slim tenderloin means any size is ok with that recipe. Would you come back: Looking forward to Valentine's Day

I enjoy the classes everytime I'm there. It's been one of my best learning experiences (there's no test later!). If I had to think of something to improve the experience it might be to have the ability of your own personal recipe web-site where I could store my favorite class recipes.

Excellent value for the money, fun evening, useful skills. All that and entertainment, too! By the way, love, LOVE the peeler I got!
|
Additional comments and observations
The Instructor (Chef) was?: The Chef very funny - worthy of his own TV reality show! Once or twice, when the sous chefs weren't doing something exactly right I thought we were heading for an episode of Hells Kitchen! The atmosphere was: The atmosphere was light, cheerful and conducive to having a good time. And the wine we brought didn't hurt! Complexity of the information provided: I felt as if I woudl be able to produce gourmet disheses using my woefully mediocre skills. In fact, I have already made the skirt steak and my family was quite impressed. It tasted just the way it did in the class. The Food (or Wine for a Wine) Class: I have just three words - or three letters in this case - OMG! The Skills that you learn were: One skill I put to use right away was cutting skirt steak correctly. What a difference that made! One of the appeals of Chef Jean Pierre's classes is that he shows you things that almost anyone can do no matter what level of skill. Would you come back: So much fun I plan to do another class. Only problem is, there are so many that sound great, I can't decide which one!

The Instructor (Chef) was?: As always. The atmosphere was: A little noisy with conversations from the back row. Complexity of the information provided: Nothing was hard to do. The Skills that you learn were: Especially like the skirt steak recipe. Would you come back: I still think I deserve a rebate since I did the pork tenderloin recipe the night before the class although the recipe had changed from the one I downloaded from JP's website.

We had a wonderful time. We have to be honest with you and tell you that we were STARVING because it was after 9:30 when we ate our first bite. We didn't eat anything before we came because in previous classes with you we ate pretty much within the hour of start time. A suggestion would be to maybe have some homemade bread with butter or something that we could have while we are waiting to be served .

|
Additional comments and observations
The Instructor (Chef) was?: Even though this was a first time class for Chef JP, he still manages to entertain us with his humor and expertise. The atmosphere was: I still need to critique when you need it...boring, one \"r\" Complexity of the information provided: Chef JP always makes it look easy. I\'ll update you on how it turns out when I try the technique. The Food (or Wine for a Wine) Class: It has to be very difficult pleasing 27 people at one time with one dish but Chef manages to do it every time. The Skills that you learn were: I \'ve been to many classes and Chef JP continues to teach me new skills, this class was very helpful in the art of stuffing, rolling and tying a piece of meat. Would you come back: I laughed a lot and I was only drinking water.
