Phenomenal care and service in ensuring an increase of our knowledge of wines, the acronym use of F-E-W, greatly added to the experience of breaking down the key components found in wine, and the food created truly complimented the wines. Enjoyed the exchanges of Chef Jean Pierre with us, everyone was very engaging! Wonderful experience!!!

This is my second "Wine Series" class with Eric Hemer. I have also attended several of Chef Jean-Peirre's cooking classes. This cooking school and the programs it hosts are truly outstanding! Eric is a wealth of knowledge and he communicates the topics well enough that even I can understand. I learned about wine, I ate superb cuisine, I laughed, I met great people, and I returned home from the evening refreshed and satisfied. This is truly one of the best things around here! I fully recommend it and I hope to be back soon!

This class was so informative and fun. Eric Hemer is absolutely brilliant and charming, and answered everyone's questions. The format was excellent and set up in a way that the information wasn\'t just presented, we all had to figure out what we were tasting. Chef Jean-Pierre was delightful and seemed so eager to cook for us... the appetizers he prepared were AMAZING! Absolutely delicious. I loved this class.

Complexity of the information provided: Chef Jean Pierre prepared the food for this class... we didn't get the recipes since it was a wine-tasting.

Giving this class makes a great gift. I had brought two friends with me as a thank you, and they had a wonderful time.

The Instructor (Chef) was?: Eric is a wonderful instructor. I know a lot about wines, but learned a lot from him. I particularly liked the blind taste testing with the focus on tasting the wine to experience its qualities and then figuring out where the wine came from and what type of wine it is. This augmented my understanding of why specific wines enhance certain foods.

Complexity of the information provided: This ranking is for the wines. They were all wonderful. I have been buying mostly wines from California, Washington, and Oregon, and it was fun to be reminded how good - and different - European and other wines can be.

The Food (or Wine for a Wine) Class: I am glad I called to ask about a restaurant nearby and was told to come hungry! The wine tasting was accompanied by a complete and wonderful dinner. I am usually not a big fan of pork, but I want to sign up for the cooking class for the marinated pork. It would be terrific for a party or dinner. The meal also included four hors d'hoeuvres/appetizers that were as lovely as they were tasty and a chocolate souffle for dessert.

The Skills that you learn were: Again, I think it is good to remind people to focus on the qualities of the wines - acidity, tannin, boldness, sweetness, flavors, etc.
