The instructor was: I was so excited to be back again at Bonnies--and what a way to start my coming back. Hope Bev isn't upset with the teasing---we laugh with her not at her. She did a fantastic job frying the fish---it was so crispy and not oily at all. Give her kudos for this!!!!!
The atmosphere was: see above
Complexity of the recipes: Hope my fish fry up as good as these were--Bev made it look easy.
The food was: Loved the slaw---a keeper of a recipe--for those who eat peppers. I served the stew to my sorority the following Monday--and it was a big hit. I didn't tell them until they had finished eating that they ate parsnips and turnips. :-) Were they surprised!!!!--mainly picky eaters and they had to admit that the stew was great. I did add barley to it. My husband LOVED the bread---this is what I grew up with as my grandmother ground her own wheat. It made wonderful toast!!! I made the berry dessert without the puff pastry--didn't detract from it at all.
The skills you learned were: will try the cornstarch before the coating--was like tempura!!
I enjoyed myself and had fun: Went home stuffed!!!!!
