We absolutely enjoyed taking a stroll and meeting the farmers who raise their beautiful produce, “pick it out” then prepare our dishes as a team with ample FUN and instruction along with a dash of competition among other groups. Our little couple get-away couldn’t have been any better. Thank you all.

As I was hosting friends Mary Crowther and Kathy Bucciarelli, I was unsure what to expect, and was almost expecting it to be somewhat intimidating. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The 'kitchen-island' atmosphere was clean and cozy, staff was fun and approachable, recipes were easy to follow. Enjoying the meal and wine afterward was a great bonus. I'd recommend the experience to everyone!

I love farm to table eating and how Chef John supports the local farmers and vendors. We had fun at the farmer's market picking out the food we were to prepare. I was expecting this class to be more observation of the Chef preparing the food and less hands-on but was pleasantly surprised at how we were just turned loose with close monitoring after lots of instruction. Chef John made this class feel new and fresh even though he does so many of them and had another class the same evening as our day class. He is a blend of knowledge, non-condescending humor, wit and fun. He made everyone feel special and connected because he was able to remember everyone's name. Facility was great and the music playlist kept everyone dancing. His staff was all really friendly and helpful. I want to go back to a class where more wine is involved:-) Loved it!

There were 4 of us ladies who came to do something fun to celebrate some birthdays. Chef John was very warm and welcoming and had a great sense of humor. The vendors at the farmers market were very helpful and seemed to know the Chef very well. The atmosphere was light and made it a very memorable afternoon. I am not a cook by any means nor am I a vegetable eater but the recipe we made with ratatouille was delicious and so healthy. I would highly recommend this to anyone who wants to do an event that is different and I hope to do this again myself.

The instructor was: Chef John is a natural when dealing with people and making them excited about creating good food. The atmosphere was: I would check both "cheerful" and "fun" if I could. That's why I keep coming back to these classes. Complexity of the recipes: The recipes are written in easy-to-understand and follow language. I also like that Chef John suggests alternative ways of making the recipe, depending on the season and ingredients. The food was: Yum to everything! The skills you learned were: I'm a better overall cook since I started taking classes here. I enjoyed myself and had fun: Always lots of fun! Chef John builds a learning atmosphere of fun and partnership that makes it an event!

Chef-Thank you again for letting us keep the class with just the two of us. My mother-in-law said it was the highlight of her trip! Her gift and passion has always been cooking and she is a great cook but still learned some things in your class. I am not so much so appreciate anything someone is willing to teach me. She cant stop talking about what a wonderful time she had and wants to come back as she mentioned. The food was delicious and you made it fun to prepare and enjoy. The instructor was: Chef John does a nice job of making learning fun. Complexity of the recipes: Maybe you should revise the choices for this. I would say it was a nice mix, ranging from complex to somewhat easier. Nothing was simplistic or too basic. Nothing was overly intimidating with the good coaching we received. The food was: The seafood appetizer was fabulous, and the peach cobbler was tasty. But I thought the vegetable topping on the gnocchi had too much going on in terms of veggies. Learning to make the gnocchi was fun, though. The skills you learned were: I wished there had been opportunities for everyone to gather round and see how the fish was being grilled. It was great to get some hands-on practice for our part of the meal, but it would have been nice to have a few minutes to learn what everyone else did, too. I enjoyed myself and had fun: It was a great time!
