I WANT TO SIGN UP FOR A CLASS BUT THEY ARE ALMOST ALL FULL. WHEN WILL THERE BE MORE CLASSES?
Our cooking school classes usually fill up very quickly. We offer four sessions throughout the year: Winter - January to April; Spring - May to July; Summer - July to August; Fall - September to November. There are no classes in late November or December due to the busy holiday shopping season.
As soon as each session is posted the classes will start to fill up. To have the best chance of getting in to the class of your choice you should look on the day the classes are posted. You may sign up for our email list to be notified when that will be. Usually registration opens the month before the session begins except for the Winter Session which is posted in November.
If you see no classes that interest you with openings feel free to sign up for the waiting list for any you would like, as cancellations do happen, and be patient; more classes are coming.
THE SYSTEM WON'T ALLOW ME TO CANCEL MY ENROLLMENT IN A CLASS.
If you are cancelling fewer than five (5) days before the date of your class you must call the store at (608) 255-8211 and we will make the cancellation.
Classes cancelled fewer than five days before the date of the class will not be elligible for a refund unless the spot can be filled. If the spot can be filled we will issue a Cooking School account credit.
CAN I CREATE AN ACCOUNT EVEN IF I AM NOT SIGNING UP FOR A CLASS RIGHT AWAY?
Yes. If you are making a payment via an Orange Tree gift card rather than a cooking school gift certificate, or prefer to pay by check, cash, or credit card in the store, you can set up your account first if you would like. This will speed up your registration once your payment is made.
Click on CREATE AN ACCOUNT in the navigation menu of the Cooking School website and fill in the required information.
I AM ON THE WAITING LIST FOR A CLASS, AM I GUARANTEED A SPOT IF SPACE BECOMES AVAILABLE?
No, the waiting list does not guarantee you a place in a class. Being on the waiting list means you will be notified when space becomes available. At that point the open space(es) will be sold on a first-come first-serve basis. They are open to anyone on the waiting list regardless of when they were added to the list.
People not on the waiting list may also purchase a reservation at this point.
You may put your name on the waiting list for more than one spot. Simply set the quantity of seats when you sign up for the waiting list. You will receive a notification only if the number of seats you selected (or more) become available. This will not increase your chances of getting into a class.
HOW DO I RESERVE A CLASS FOR A SECOND PERSON AT THE SAME TIME?
1) Make your selection
2) Add to the cart
3) Change the quantity to 2
4) Click the "Update Order" button
5) Click on the button on the left side "Set attendee's name"
6) Enter the name of the 2nd attendee and Click on Checkout.

HOW CAN I CANCEL/CHANGE A CLASS ONLINE TO RECEIVE A CLASS CREDIT IF I AM WITHIN YOUR CLASS CANCELLATION GUIDELINES?
1) Sign into your on-line account and click on “Classes”
2) Find the class you are canceling and click "Change”
3) Click on the box in front of the registered name.
4) Click on the "Cancel Class" button.
When you finish, your account will show an account credit. Refunds are given only as class credit. For your next purchase, the shopping cart will NOT automatically apply the credit and deduct the cost of your purchase from your account credit before it charges your credit card. YOU MUST CLICK ON THE BUTTON IN THE MIDDLE OF THE PAGE “APPLY ACCOUNT CREDIT”.
